The Fireworks Festival in Cannes runs from July 14th to August 24th, where each week a different country competes with a show of 30-minutes of fireworks choreographed to recorded music. The fireworks and the music are set off from three barges strategically placed out in the water in the Bay of Cannes, and our favorite place to view the fireworks is from any number of the beaches along the Croisette. Dinner on the beach is paced to the Fireworks Show, so that each table is at the coffee or digestif course when the spectacle begins around 10:15pm. Each beach restaurant has a special Feu d’Artifice Menu at a fixed price, where the timing of each course is very important. Tonight we had dinner at Plage Gray Albion, where we were expected to arrive promptly at 8:00pm. Tonight’s competition was brought to us by Italy, and their program was as follows:
Pirotecnica Scarpato (Italie)
"Les musiques Méditérranéennes"
