After a cab ride from our hotel to Gare Brussel Midi, we took a high-speed, non-stop Thalys train to Paris which left at 7:40am. The 1-hour 25-minute journey got us into Gare Paris Nord at 9:05am, where we took a cab to Gare de Lyon to catch the high-speed TGV at 11:50am to Antibes. Five hours and 11 minutes later, we arrived into Antibes at 5:01pm yesterday, and took our last cab of the day to our apartment.
It’s great to be back to the clear, blue skies and the hustle and bustle of holiday shoppers on the streets of Antibes. It’s cold enough to require a jacket or a coat, but nice enough to be outside, and even to have lunch on one of the café terraces, or to enjoy a vin chaud at the Marché de Noel.
