From Nice we made a connection in Lyon to arrive into Prague in plenty of time for lunch. We found lots of sidewalk cafés along the river Vltava, like this one just below the Charles Bridge. After lunch, we strolled along trying to familiarize ourselves with the city. We made it to Wenceslas Square, the Charles Bridge, the Old Town Square, and the Torture Museum. The Torture Museum consisted of sadistic medieval torture instruments used to punish criminals, witches, and quarrelsome women. These acts of punishment usually took place in full public view, with the public sometimes participating by taunting the condemned, poking them, or throwing rocks at them.
