Tonight we went to Plage Royale in Cannes, where we rented beach chairs and got something cold to drink for 12€ each. One of the things we like about Plage Royale, besides its excellent position, is that we don’t have to reserve our beach chairs ahead of time, like we do at Plage Goëland. We just have to make sure that we arrive around 8:00pm, which gives us plenty of time for an aperitif, or for a pique-nique like we had tonight before the fireworks started around 10:00ish. Tonight was Portugal’s turn to compete, and it turned out to be probably the best fireworks show we’ve seen in the few years that we’ve been attending the festival here in Cannes. Their program was as follows:
